The facelifted Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been unveiled in Thailand, the country where it is also built. There's a major revision to the front fascia, with the design very similar to the L200 pickup on which the Pajero Sport is based.Mitsubishi’s signature Dynamic Shield front view design concept has been further evolved on the new Pajero Sport. The headlights continue from the front grille and the combination lamps at the bumper corners. The higher bonnet of the vehicle exhibits a deeper front face, while a more solid, powerful chrome part design projects a more refined, sophisticated appearance.[gallery size="full" ids="10272,10271"]Inside, the new Pajero Sport gets a refreshed floor console and soft padded interior door handles to enhance the overall interior look. New AC power outlet has been added on the existing USB plug at the console rear panel to improve usability for all passengers. There's a new storage space under the center armrest.The convenient new components include an easy-to-read 8-inch color LCD meter, an 8-inch Smartphone-Link Display Audio (SDA), a Power Tailgate system which can be opened or closed by smartphone, and Mitsubishi Remote Control system which offers a number of functions that facilitate ease of access. Enhanced safety features include the addition of Lane Change Assist (LCA) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) functions.The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is powered by a 2.4L MIVEC turbo diesel engine which continues to make 178 BHP and 430NM and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission via the same Super-Select 4WD-II system which now offers a new off-road mode and a newly-designed switch.Following its launch in Thailand, the updated Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will eventually be sold in some 90 countries worldwide, including the UK, Australia, and Nepal.
